Our journey began in 2022 when owner Natalie Silva brought her extensive 20-year expertise from the vibrant restaurant scene in Milan and the Riviera Bordighera to the heart of California. Sottovoce Cafe quickly became a hotspot for locals and visitors, celebrated for its unique fusion of Italian and Californian culinary traditions.
Natalie's passion for creating welcoming spaces for diverse communities is evident in her pioneering work with L’Elephant, the first above-ground gay bar in Milan, which set a precedent for inclusivity and cultural richness.
